On 3/7, Lam Dong provincial police announced the arrest of Le Hoan Vu, 42, residing in Ho Chi Minh City (TP HCM); Nguyen Trong Nghia, 45, residing in An Giang; and Bui Vinh Quang, Dao Thanh Trung, and Tran Trung Thang, aged 32-43, all residents of Lam Dong province. They are under investigation for organizing gambling and gambling activities.

This online football betting ring operated through a website, "Bong88...", structured in multiple tiers with numerous participants across several provinces and cities.

Following a period of surveillance, the Criminal Police Department, in coordination with the Cybersecurity and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department and local police forces, simultaneously deployed multiple task forces. These operations, conducted in Lam Dong, An Giang, and Ho Chi Minh City (TP HCM), successfully dismantled the ring.

During interrogations with the police, the suspects revealed they had purchased a "Master" account from an unidentified individual on social media. The group then subdivided this into numerous sub-accounts, which were distributed to players for logging in and placing bets on matches. The total transaction value reached 5 billion VND.

Lam Dong provincial police are continuing to expand their investigation.
