According to the investigation, two nights ago, the Cho Lon traffic police team was on duty at the Vo Van Kiet - An Duong Vuong intersection. Officers stopped Dang Van Hoang, 59, after observing him driving a motorbike with signs of intoxication. A breathalyzer test confirmed Hoang had an alcohol concentration of 0,937 mg/l.
As traffic police issued the citation, Thanh, Hoang's younger brother, arrived and pleaded for the violation to be overlooked. When officers denied his request, Thanh shouted and used two plastic chairs to attack them, enabling his brother to flee on his motorbike.
Nearby residents recorded the entire incident. After the video circulated online, police launched an investigation, summoning both Thanh and his brother for questioning. Hoang admitted to the alcohol limit violation.
Authorities have issued an administrative violation record for Hoang, impounded his motorbike, and are consolidating the case file to prosecute Thanh.
