On 25/6, Da Nang City Police detained Phan Minh Tri, 50, residing in Hai Chau ward, for investigation into disturbing public order, intentionally damaging property, and resisting officers on duty.
According to the investigation, around 23h on 23/6, Tri, while intoxicated, went to the Huynh De goat restaurant in Cam Le ward, caused a disturbance, and refused to pay his bill.
He then returned in his pickup truck and deliberately crashed into the restaurant, causing extensive damage estimated at 44 million VND.
Not stopping there, Tri drove to the Cam Le Ward Police headquarters, repeatedly honking, flashing his lights, and shouting challenges at the officers. When he saw police filming, he sped away.

The Cam Le Ward Police reported the incident to the Da Nang City Police Command Center, requesting assistance in the pursuit. The chase involved the Traffic Police Department and police from Cam Le and Hoa Khanh wards, spanning several streets.
Upon reaching the K46 Dien Bien Phu area in Thanh Khe ward, despite a roadblock, Tri drove onto the sidewalk to escape. He damaged a motorbike belonging to local security forces, then collided with a car and a house's awning pillar before being subdued.
Tests revealed Tri's blood alcohol content was 0.087 mg/l, and he tested negative for drugs.
Police are currently holding the car and video evidence to support the investigation and build the case file.
