Man dies after traffic dispute, suspect accused of fatal slap

Le Anh Quang is accused of slapping a 43-year-old man after a traffic dispute, causing the victim to fall, hit his head on a concrete sidewalk, and die.

On 25/6, Le Anh Quang, 49, residing in Son Tay commune, was temporarily detained by the Investigation Police Agency of Ha Tinh Provincial Police for intentionally causing injury, under Article 134 of the Penal Code.

According to the investigation, on the morning of 4/4, while traveling on the Ngan Pho riverbank road in hamlet 2, Son Tay commune (formerly part of Huong Son district), Quang and a 43-year-old man from Son Kim 2 commune had a dispute, which escalated into a heated argument.

Authorities allege that in a fit of anger, Quang slapped the man forcefully in the face, causing the victim to lose his balance, fall backward, and hit his head on the concrete sidewalk. The victim suffered a traumatic brain injury; despite being rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment, he did not survive.
