Authorities had earlier discovered the man using a TikTok account, "Vu Rau", to spread distorted information. This content misrepresented the outcome of Operation 1025G, which led to the arrest of Le Sy Tung, a suspect in the murder of three people. The posts claimed the individual arrested by Dong Nai Police was "not the real culprit" and that "the evidence was not authentic".
During questioning by security forces, the man admitted his offense. He voluntarily removed the TikTok posts and pledged not to repeat the violation.
