On 8/10, Sang, a resident of Vinh Binh hamlet, was detained by Binh Duong commune police for investigation into criminal offenses.

According to the investigation, yesterday evening, at Oc Nuong Ngon restaurant in Duong Lieu Tay hamlet, Binh Duong commune, Sang had a dispute with Nguyen Quang Son, 26, also a resident of the same hamlet. He took a knife from the restaurant and chased, then assaulted Son, but was stopped by others.

Son then walked to the adjacent Xom Nhau restaurant while provoking Sang. Angered, Sang pursued him in his car, but the vehicle crashed directly into Xom Nhau restaurant, hitting Son and Luong Thi Quyen, 55. A young man standing nearby managed to escape unharmed. Tables, chairs, and other furnishings in the restaurant were severely damaged.

Following the incident, Sang exited the car and left the scene. The two victims were taken to Bong Son General Hospital, but Ms. Quyen succumbed to her injuries.
