On 20/11, the Hue City Police Investigation Agency initiated a criminal case, charged, and arrested Le Van Hai for property appropriation. Hai, 26, residing in Bac Thuong Hamlet, Phu Vinh Commune, Hue City, is being investigated under Clause 2, Article 170 of the Penal Code.

The incident occurred around 6:40 a.m. on 17/11 at Vinh An 1 Primary School in Phu Vinh Commune. Hai had driven his daughter to school that morning. While taking his child to her classroom, he noticed My, a first-grade student, walking by with a gold necklace around her neck. This sight prompted Hai to form an intention to steal the jewelry.

Hai then observed My standing alone in her classroom. He approached her from behind and snatched the necklace from her neck.

Following an investigation, police identified Hai as the perpetrator and apprehended him.

Police are advising parents to refrain from letting their children wear valuable items in public. This precaution helps prevent them from becoming targets for ill-intentioned individuals, thereby safeguarding their lives and psychological well-being.
