Man stabs drinking friend to death over bill dispute

According to the investigation, Minh was working as a fisherman on a fishing boat operating in An Giang waters. On 4/6, the boat was docked at Bai Ngu port in Tho Chau special zone for repairs, so a group of fishermen went ashore to drink.

Around 1h on 5/6, while settling the bill for their drinking session, Minh and Hong, 30, had an argument. During the altercation, Hong punched Minh, causing him to fall. After others intervened, Minh returned to the boat to rest, while Hong continued drinking until around 3h before returning.

Around 4h that same morning, seeing Hong asleep on the boat, Minh, still angered by the assault, took a knife and stabbed the victim once in the neck. The wound severed a carotid artery, causing Hong to die on the spot.

After committing the crime, Minh surrendered to the police on 6/6.
