Will users be prosecuted for buying computers with 'pirated Windows'?

I bought a laptop from a computer store that came with Windows and Office pre-installed, but I was not provided information about the licensing status of this software.

Recently, after reading news that a computer business was prosecuted for installing unlicensed software for customers, I began to wonder if the software on my machine is legal.

If a computer comes with pre-installed Windows or other unlicensed software, will buyers and users like me be prosecuted? Does the legal responsibility fall on the user or the store that installed the software?
