Mother-in-law murdered by daughter-in-law due to cohabitation dispute

Huynh Thi Nghia, 36, stated that disputes during cohabitation led her to attack her mother-in-law with a knife during the night.

The Tan Phu Trung Communal Police temporarily detained Nghia on 15/9, investigating her for murder.

At the police station, Nghia stated she married in 2011 and had two daughters. Around 2023, her husband left, and Nghia continued living with her husband's family in An Hoa Nhat hamlet. She worked as a laborer daily to support her children.

During their cohabitation, Nghia and her husband's family frequently had disputes. In the early morning of 15/9, Nghia stabbed her 56-year-old mother-in-law multiple times with a knife, causing her death.

Police continue to investigate the case.
