Gia Lai Provincial Police discovered a black and yellow Yamaha Exciter motorbike buried in a pit in a vacant lot near Dien Phu Industrial Park. The site is approximately 5 km from the Vietcombank - Tra Ba branch on Truong Chinh street, which was robbed six days prior. This discovery, made on the afternoon of 25/1, is considered a significant lead in the ongoing investigation.

Authorities mobilized dozens of officers, soldiers, and K9 units to track down the suspects. On the same afternoon of 25/1, police simultaneously searched residences on Nguyen Viet Xuan street (Hoi Phu ward) and Tue Tinh street (Dien Hong ward) in Gia Lai province as part of their efforts to locate individuals connected to the crime.
The robbery occurred on the afternoon of 19/1. Two men, one wearing a ride-hailing motorbike driver's shirt and an accomplice in a blue jacket, mask, and helmet, stormed the Vietcombank - Tra Ba branch. Both threatened bank staff with short guns, took 1,8 billion VND, and then fled on a motorbike.
