Ninh Binh Provincial Police announced on 29/6 that its investigative police agency is expanding a large-scale drug trafficking case. The operation targets a ring allegedly led by Vu Van Bon, also known as "Bun", 40, residing in Dong Hoa Lu ward.
Authorities accuse Bon of using social media applications, including Zalo, Facebook, and Telegram, for drug transactions with a group in Son La. He allegedly directed Dang Van Duong, 32, to transport the drugs to Ninh Binh for distribution.

During the investigation, authorities apprehended Bui Van Thuan, 29, from Phu Son commune, in Giao Thuy commune. Thuan was driving an oto with Duong, transporting 1 kg of ketamine and 5,000 synthetic drug pills for sale.
Simultaneously, multiple task forces conducted coordinated searches, leading to the arrest of numerous suspects.
To date, Ninh Binh Provincial Police have arrested 94 individuals. Charges include drug trafficking, transportation, possession, organizing illegal drug use, concealing crimes, and illegal possession of military-grade weapons.
Evidence seized includes over 6,400 synthetic drug pills, more than 3,420 grams of various drugs, four guns, five rounds of ammunition, 14 oto and moto, 250 million dong, and other related exhibits.
