During an interrogation at Krong Pac Commune Police station on the evening of 2/1, Pham Ngoc Khanh, residing in Tan Tien commune, recounted calling a taxi driven by Truong Ngoc Thang, 27, yesterday afternoon to transport his wife and young child from Ea Phe commune to their home. The conflict began when the taxi reached the Kmrong hamlet, where the road was full of potholes. Khanh's wife experienced motion sickness and vomited, prompting him to ask the driver to slow down for safety.

Angered, Khanh lunged forward, choked Thang, and repeatedly stabbed the driver's face with a pair of chopsticks while the car was moving at 17 km/h. Caught off guard, the driver released the steering wheel, covered his face with both hands, and pleaded for mercy. The woman traveling with them screamed, unable to intervene.
Moments later, the driver, unable to stop the car or unbuckle his seatbelt, struggled to escape. Khanh then opened the door, moved to the driver's seat, and applied the brakes to bring the vehicle to a halt.
Video footage shows the taxi driver being attacked from behind by the passenger.
Krong Pac Commune Police are currently verifying details and collecting documents and evidence to strengthen the case file for legal processing.
