Following the indictment of Son, 30, from Cam Thanh ward, for illegal possession and trafficking of narcotics, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department expanded its inquiry into related individuals. Investigators identified Duoc as directly involved.
Records show Duoc had previously undergone compulsory drug rehabilitation. However, upon his return, he quickly re-established connections, forming a network that included Son. Duoc not only used drugs but also directed Son to sources for purchasing them.
After the drug 'bunker' at Son's residence was dismantled, Duoc fled to southern provinces.
Authorities accuse Son of transforming his residence into a fortified 'bunker,' equipped with surrounding warning and surveillance systems. He conducted transactions solely through a narrow door slit, always poised to flee at the first sign of trouble.
