Around noon on 30/1, a man driving a black 7-seater car with a Ho Chi Minh City license plate was traveling on Road 825, through Hau Nghia commune. Upon reaching the traffic lights at Ba Sa bridge, heading towards National Highway N2, he stopped to wait for a red light. At the same time, a white pickup truck, bearing an old Long An province license plate, was traveling in the same direction behind him and unexpectedly collided with his vehicle.
Security camera footage from a nearby house showed that when the two drivers exited their vehicles to talk, the pickup truck driver acted aggressively. He repeatedly punched the other driver's head and face. The victim fell onto the road, whereupon the driver kicked him in the head, rendering him unconscious.
