On 14/7, Duong Quoc Thai and Tran Thanh Lam, 46, were arrested by the Ho Chi Minh City Police Investigation Agency. They are being investigated for disrupting public order.
The incident occurred at 5:40 p.m. on 12/7. Thai, driving a Porsche, and Lam, driving a Mitsubishi, were both traveling on Nam Ky Khoi Nghia street in Ho Chi Minh City. As they turned onto Nguyen Du street, the two vehicles began cutting each other off in a display of road rage.
Upon reaching the Nguyen Du - Huyen Tran Cong Chua intersection, both cars stopped directly in the middle, obstructing traffic. Thai exited his vehicle, cursed, spat, and then kicked Lam's left side mirror before attempting to leave.
In response to the attack, Lam pulled a resident's motorbike to block Thai's Porsche. He then used his hands and feet to dent the front passenger door of Thai's car. The two men then chased and fought each other around their vehicles in the middle of the intersection, exchanging curses and damaging each other's property, despite attempts by onlookers to intervene.

The altercation caused chaos and severe traffic congestion in the area, as numerous curious people gathered to film and photograph the scene.
Following the incident, the Ho Chi Minh City Police advised road users to remain calm during conflicts or collisions, and to never resort to violence. They emphasized that aggressive actions, such as stopping cars in the middle of the road to fight, not only threaten the safety of those involved and other road users but can also lead to criminal prosecution.
