On 20/1, Gia Lai Provincial Police issued a notice seeking victims of Trinh, a resident of Hoi Phu ward, following her temporary detention for fraudulent appropriation of property.

Trinh was known as the owner of a popular restaurant on Nguyen Viet Xuan street and possessed significant assets.

According to the investigation, in mid-2025, Trinh began investing in the stock market via social media, incurring substantial losses. Seeking to recoup her funds, in late June, she disseminated false information, claiming she needed money to repay bank loans. She then borrowed from multiple individuals, ultimately misappropriating a total of 3,5 billion dong.

Trinh reportedly reinvested the misappropriated sum into the stock market, losing it all. The case is currently under expanded investigation.
