Hoang Mai ward police summoned a 38-year-old security guard on the afternoon of 25/8 to investigate and address an assault. The incident took place at 9:30 AM this morning at the Louis City urban area, involving the guard and a 23-year-old ride-hailing driver.
The altercation began when the 23-year-old driver, who was making a delivery, mistakenly entered a vehicle-only lane. A uniformed security guard confronted the driver. At gate 1's security checkpoint, the guard punched the driver, causing him to fall to the ground and his motorbike to overturn.
While the victim lay on the road, the guard continued the assault, stomping on his stomach and repeatedly kicking his head, back, and abdomen.
The attack only ceased when bystanders intervened. The incident was recorded by residents and subsequently posted on social media, sparking public outrage.
