Snipers on high alert at vantage points to protect Party Congress

Sniper teams from Special Police Unit No. 1 deployed at high vantage points, on 24 hours a day alert to ensure absolute security for the 14th Party Congress.

To ensure absolute safety for the 14th Party Congress, officers from Special Police Unit No. 1, under the Mobile Police Command, Ministry of Public Security (K02), have been on 24 hours a day alert in recent days. They are stationed at many critical high points, from which they will tightly control the entire area where the Congress is taking place.

Officers are divided into teams, performing specialized duties such as sniping, observation, monitoring, and high-altitude surveillance. This work demands absolute precision, courage, and the highest level of responsibility. The Mobile Police Command leadership has emphasized that no mistakes, however minor, will be tolerated.

Each shift and position is carefully planned, creating a multi-layered, secure, and robust defense strategy.

Beyond these vantage points, the unit also deploys personnel through many shifts, stationing officers at the airport, convention center, Hoang Thanh Thang Long, delegate accommodation areas, and surrounding vicinities. They remain ready to address complex situations, including apprehension, hostage rescue, and counter-terrorism.

Additionally, officers are fully equipped with gear and support tools, maintaining combat readiness and awaiting commander's orders for immediate deployment in all situations.

The 14th Party Congress is held from 19/1 to 25/1 under the motto "Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development". It is attended by 1,586 delegates, representing over 5.6 million party members across the nation. The Congress also welcomes: Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; 16 prominent intellectuals, artists, religious dignitaries, exemplary youth of Viet Nam, ambassadors, and heads of international organizations in Viet Nam.
