An altercation in Ca Bat hamlet, Tan Hung commune, Tay Ninh province, resulted in a fatality on 4/5. Around 11 am, a 66-year-old man was resting in a hammock outside his home when he was provoked by his 49-year-old neighbor, Nguyen Van Truong, who was passing by after drinking.

The homeowner reacted to the provocation, sparking an argument. Truong then left and returned shortly after with scissors, stabbing the homeowner multiple times.

At that moment, the homeowner's son, Le Van Rai, arrived home and rushed to intervene. During the ensuing struggle, Rai caused Truong to lose consciousness.

Residents transported both men to Tan Hung Regional Medical Center for emergency treatment. Rai's father sustained multiple injuries but his condition stabilized. Truong, however, did not survive.
