Stabbing death at wedding party

Trinh Huu Cuong and Phan Minh Tuong are accused of fatally stabbing and assaulting a young man, and injuring two others, following an argument during singing and dancing at a wedding reception.

On 30/11, Cuong, 47, residing in Khanh Hoa ward, and Tuong, 16, from Thanh Thoi An commune, were arrested by Can Tho City Police to investigate their involvement in murder and intentional injury.

According to initial investigation, on the evening of 29/11, a family in Thanh Thoi An commune hosted a wedding reception for their son, which Cuong and Tuong attended. While singing and dancing, Cuong and Tuong got into an argument with other young men, escalating into a brawl. During the altercation, Cuong used a knife to stab a 23-year-old local man in the chest, causing his death. The brawl also left two other young men seriously injured.

Cuong and Tuong fled the scene but were surrounded and apprehended by police that night.
