Hoang Phuoc Tuan, a resident of Ea Na commune, was detained for four months by Dak Lak provincial police on 6/7. He faces charges of murder and rape following the death of an intellectually disabled woman in Doan Ket village cemetery.

The incident came to light on 12/6 when residents discovered the woman's body in the cemetery and reported it to authorities. Police launched an investigation, quickly identifying Tuan as a suspect and arresting him that same afternoon.

At the investigative agency, Tuan admitted to exploiting the intellectually disabled woman and engaging in sexual acts with her multiple times. He confessed that on the evening of 11/6, he again lured the woman into Doan Ket village cemetery for sexual acts. When the victim resisted, he committed the crime.

Authorities also revealed that Tuan had a previous conviction for rape.
