Nguyen Hong Linh, a 38-year-old physical education teacher, was arrested on 15/8 by Dak Lak Provincial Police. He faces a four-month temporary detention for investigation into murder charges.

Investigations reveal that on the evening of 10/8, following a school party at Le Dinh Chinh Primary School in Ea Wy commune, Le Thi My Diem, a 39-year-old librarian, returned to the staff dormitory. Linh later visited her room to talk, leading to a conflict and argument.

During the altercation, Linh reportedly used force against Ms. Diem, resulting in her death. Panicked and fearing discovery, he attempted to hide the crime by burning clothes, blankets, and pillows in the room to remove evidence.

The suspect then transported Ms. Diem's body approximately 20 km from the school to his coffee farm in hamlet 13, Ea Drang commune, where he buried it to conceal the crime. Linh confessed that the motive for the murder stemmed from a jealous dispute.

Police investigations indicated that Linh, despite being married with two children, began a romantic relationship with Ms. Diem in early 2025. Ms. Diem had recently divorced in March and was raising two daughters.
