Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, Deputy Minister of Public Security, stated that the Central Highlands holds significant importance for national defense, security, foreign affairs, and socio-economic development.
He explained that the exercise aimed to test command capabilities, inter-force coordination, enhance situation handling skills, and evaluate the effectiveness of weapons and equipment.
The scenario, developed from simple to complex, required close coordination among the Mobile Police, local police units, and related forces. Some situations incorporated unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), combined ground forces with helicopters, and addressed incitement to riot activities in cyberspace.
Senior Lieutenant General Tung urged local police units to proactively assess, analyze, and forecast situations, resolve grassroots conflicts to prevent "hot spots", and continue to refine plans for complex situations while strengthening coordination between police, military, and other relevant forces.
