On 29/5, Phuoc Long Ward Police issued an administrative fine to a woman for providing and sharing information that insults the honor and dignity of others.
The woman was fined 7,5 million VND under Government Decree 15, which addresses violations in the postal, telecommunications, and information technology sectors.
This action followed a report to Phuoc Long Ward Police from a resident whose relative had posted defamatory images and articles on social media.
Police investigation confirmed the woman used her personal social media account to post offensive content about a relative living in the same locality.

Initial findings indicated the dispute stemmed from family issues. Beyond posting defamatory content, the woman also accessed the relative's social media account to comment and interact, further harassing the victim and damaging their honor and reputation.
During questioning by police, the woman admitted her actions. She acknowledged that posting images and information with defamatory remarks about others on social media constitutes a violation of the law.
