The year 2025 marks a period of stable growth and expansion for Generali Vietnam, with its general agency office system developing uniformly, an increasingly professional team of financial advisors, and a high Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) retention rate.
A General Agency (GA) is an independent business unit within Generali's system, comprising multiple teams of advisors. A GA is typically led by a General Agency Director (GAD), who is responsible for operations, recruitment, training, and team development.
Following a year of positive changes, prominent general agency directors from Generali Northern Vietnam shared their journey of creating value and trust through three leadership philosophies: genuine value, empathetic strategy, and a spirit of not chasing quantity.

Building trust through genuine value
GAD Phan Thi Quynh Trang defines the "genuine value" of life insurance as not just financial benefits, but also protection, companionship, and responsibility towards people. She builds customer trust through her unwavering commitment to the profession and a pledge to uphold ethical and professional standards for nearly a decade.
Trang joined Generali in 9/2016 and quickly demonstrated her capability as a financial advisor. After two years, she decided to commit long-term to the profession, aiming for a professional and sustainable career path. In 2025, she established her own General Agency, GenBella Trang An, gathering over 100 financial advisors who focus on expertise, market understanding, and adherence to professional standards.
According to Trang, an advisor's success is measured not by the number of contracts, but by the level of trust clients place in them. Even as a Business Unit Head, she consistently maintained 6-8 MDRT qualifiers annually, often ranking among the top in nationwide sales. Today, GenBella Trang An is considered a "cradle" for training core MDRT generations, where young financial advisors learn to mature, becoming "professionally stable, mentally resilient, and securing their future".
Throughout her time with Generali, Trang has consistently achieved MDRT status for 8 consecutive years, was honored as "A Lifelong Friend to Customers", and has received multiple GenLion, GenChampion, and GenCaptain Diamond awards.
MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table) is an association founded in 1927 for outstanding financial and insurance professionals, globally recognized based on specific business results and income criteria.
Empathetic strategy and discipline
While GenBella Trang An began with a belief in genuine value, GA Ba Dinh, under the leadership of GAD Le Thi Hong Minh, thrives on "empathy and discipline". For Minh, the long-term bond between an organization and its customers must stem from internal human strength – when each advisor works in a transparent environment with clear direction.
A graduate of Hanoi Law University, Minh joined Generali in 2015 and was one of the first GADs to establish a General Agency system in Northern Vietnam. After nearly 9 years of operation, GA Ba Dinh has become a large-scale office with over 300 advisors. It is also the only office in the region to successfully develop two sub-general agencies: GenCasa Tay Ho and GenBella Trang An.
According to Minh, discipline is combined with a personable human resources management approach. Regularly meeting and discussing with her team and customers helps her maintain business stability while ensuring service quality. She applies the philosophy "strict to love correctly" as a leadership principle: upholding professional standards while providing necessary companionship and support. This approach helps GA Ba Dinh maintain stable operations, high revenue, and a high contract retention rate for many consecutive years.
Not chasing quantity
Within the broader landscape of Generali Northern Vietnam, GA Hoang Mai stands out by consistently adhering to a "quality-focused" approach. GAD Ta Thi Thanh Phong, with nearly 25 years of experience in finance and insurance, believes that an organization's sustainability lies not in its expansion speed, but in its ability to maintain a competent and ethical team.
Established in 2017, GenCasa Hoang Mai was built on three core values: discipline, professionalism, and companionship. Unlike many units prioritizing expansion, this GA focuses on individual training and coaching, helping advisors develop comprehensively in skills and professional awareness.
Phong states that a strong team does not come from luck, but from consistency in management methods. She dedicates most of her time to internal training, sharing practical experience, aiming for each advisor to be self-reliant in their work. "We do not aim for rapid quantity growth; instead, we focus on quality – from mindset and skills to professional attitude", she said.
Thanks to this approach, GA Hoang Mai has become one of the General Agencies with the highest MDRT rate nationwide, while also maintaining team cohesion. This unit's human resources management model is considered aligned with Generali's long-term direction: developing based on people and trust rather than short-term growth metrics.
From genuine value to empathetic strategy, from discipline to quality, the three General Agency Directors of Generali Northern Vietnam are shaping the system's distinctive development style – emphasizing sustainability, focusing on people, and making customer trust the measure of success.
