The Kun Marathon will be held for the third time in the nation's largest city, once again coinciding with the VnExpress Marathon Ho Chi Minh City Midnight. This event marks the start of the 2026 race series, featuring the new theme "Together with Kun, protect all species."

A representative from the organizing committee stated that an educational message promoting love for nature and animal protection will be a central theme across all Kun Marathon events during the first six months of next year.

Beyond providing an active playground for children aged 6-10, the event, through its race course and interactive experiences, aims to help them discover the natural world. Thao Cam Vien (Saigon Zoo and Botanical Garden), the city's oldest green space, will serve as the venue for this series of events. Young runners will have the chance to engage in physical activity while learning about diverse animal habitats.

In response to the increasing demand from parents in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces, the organizing committee expanded the event's capacity to 2,500 athletes, an increase of 500 spots from the 2024 season.

On race day, young runners will navigate a course spanning nearly 1 km, featuring physical challenges designed for their age group. Upon completion, each child will receive a commemorative medal acknowledging their individual effort. Beyond the race, experiential zones will offer game booths simulating natural ecosystems.

These interactive educational games aim to instill an early appreciation for nature preservation in children. Joining the young participants will be familiar personalities, including artist Truong Giang, Hao Khang, Boi Boi, Duc Thang, and Be Mon TV.
