According to the Permanent Member of the Secretariat, the 14th Congress will take place from 19/1 to 25/1. Its theme is: "Under the glorious banner of the Party, united in strength and spirit to successfully achieve national development goals by 2030; strategically autonomous, self-reliant, confident, and strongly advancing in the nation's era of ascent, for peace, independence, democracy, strength, prosperity, civilization, happiness, and steadily progressing towards socialism."
The Congress will host 1,586 delegates, representing over 5,6 million Party members nationwide. It will also welcome former Party and State leaders, Vietnamese heroic mothers, and representatives of prominent intellectuals, artists, religious dignitaries, and youth from across the country.
The Congress will discuss and approve important documents, including: a political report; a report summarizing theoretical and practical issues over 40 years of Doi Moi (renewal); a report summarizing 15 years of implementing the Party Charter; and a report reviewing the leadership and direction of the Central Committee of the 13th term.
A new feature of the 14th Congress's documents is the integration of three reports into a single, unified, and synchronized political report. For the first time, the document includes an accompanying action program that outlines specific timelines and milestones to ensure immediate implementation after the Congress. The draft document garnered nearly 14 million comments from cadres, Party members, and the public, demonstrating high consensus.
