At the scene, the bus sustained heavy damage, its windshield was shattered, and one of its wheels fell into a roadside drainage ditch.
According to authorities, the initial investigation determined the cause was the driver losing control of the vehicle's speed while navigating a curve on the pass.
To Na Pass, approximately 2 km long on national highway 25, is an important transport route connecting the South Central Coast region with the Central Highlands. Despite upgrades initiated in 2012 to mitigate accident risks, the area still poses risks, especially during the rainy season due to frequent landslides.
