At approximately 11:20 a.m. on 8/5, a dramatic rescue unfolded in Ward 1, Bao Loc, as over 10 local residents and on-site forces united to lift a car and free an 8th-grade student trapped underneath. The incident occurred after a collision between a four-seater car and an electric bicycle, prompting a swift community response that ensured the student received immediate medical attention.
The accident took place when Dau Thanh Thu, 58 years old, was driving a four-seater car on Ly Thuong Kiet street, heading towards the center of Ward 1, Bao Loc. As the car reached the intersection with Hoang Van Thu street, it collided with an electric bicycle. The electric bicycle was being ridden by Tran Phuc Gia An, a 9th-grade student, who was carrying her younger sister, Tran Ngoc My An, an 8th-grade student, home from school.

The impact dragged My An under the car, while Gia An was thrown off the bicycle, sustaining minor abrasions. Witnessing the accident, more than 10 residents, alongside local forces, quickly coordinated to lift the vehicle. Their collective effort successfully freed My An, who was then rushed to Lam Dong II Hospital for emergency treatment.

According to doctors, My An suffered a fractured femur and is currently undergoing further examinations for additional injuries. Lam Dong provincial authorities promptly cordoned off the scene, directed traffic flow, and are investigating the cause of the collision.
