Woman found after two days lost in Hai Van mountains

After two days missing in the Hai Van mountain range, Bui Thi Theu, 25, from Hoa Binh, was found hungry and exhausted.

On 8/5, Chan May - Lang Co Commune Police handed Theu over to her relatives for care in Hoa Binh.

Previously, at noon on 6/5, as train SE10 from Sai Gon to Ha Noi made a stop at Hai Van Bac station, located in Chan May - Lang Co commune, Theu unexpectedly left the train and went missing in the Hai Van mountain area. Her family only realized she was gone and reported it to the train crew when they neared Lang Co station.

The train crew then informed authorities and assigned a staff member to take the passenger's relatives back to Hai Van Bac station. According to her family, Theu suffers from postpartum depression and has an unstable mental state.

Hai Van Bac station railway staff, along with police and border guards, organized a search of the surrounding area. Forces fanned out through bushes and rock crevices but found no trace of the young mother. Theu's family had to temporarily halt the search to continue their journey home.
