At approximately 5h on 11/3, Vu Duy Hieu, driving a 5-seater car with a Ninh Binh license plate, was traveling on the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway towards Hanoi. Near Dong Van ward, his car collided with a Thanh Hoa-plated tractor-trailer, driven by Vu Dinh Chuc, which was ahead and moving in the same direction.

The impact sent the 5-seater car spinning several times before it overturned in the middle of the road. Its body sustained severe deformation, with debris scattered across the asphalt. The tractor-trailer suffered only minor damage.

Police reported that driver Vu Duy Hieu was uninjured and successfully exited the vehicle on his own.

The accident led to localized traffic congestion on the expressway throughout the morning. Authorities promptly arrived to divert and regulate traffic, initiating an investigation into the cause.

A representative from the Traffic Police Department noted the accident occurred on a flat road with clear visibility. Initial findings suggest the 5-seater car driver failed to maintain a safe following distance from the vehicle ahead.
