On 11/3, the Van Don - Co To high-speed ferry management board announced adjustments to the ferry schedule from Ao Tien port (Van Don) to Co To island district, reducing it from two daily trips (morning and afternoon) to one. Specifically, an additional trip will be available on monday for the Van Don to Co To route, and on friday for the Co To to Van Don route. Routes connecting Van Don to Minh Chau island and Quan Lan island will maintain two trips daily.
The ferry schedule will be adjusted once the global situation and oil prices stabilize, according to the Van Don - Co To high-speed ferry management board.

A ferry owner explained that vessels operating on the Van Don - Co To route typically have 100 seats or more, and without consolidating trips, operators would face significant losses.
High-speed ferry ticket prices have increased on several island routes. Specifically: the Quan Lan - Van Don route rose from 150,000 dong to 200,000 dong per person per trip; Van Don - Minh Chau increased from 140,000 dong to 180,000 dong; and Van Don - Co To increased from 250,000 dong to 300,000 dong for adults.
Effective 11:45 PM on 10/3, the price of RON95-III gasoline increased by 2,080 dong to 29,120 dong, while diesel became 480 dong more expensive, reaching 30,710 dong per liter. This surge is attributed to escalating conflict in the Middle East and the blockage of the Strait of Hormuz, which disrupted a crucial shipping lane controlling approximately 20% of global oil trade.
