For the upcoming Tet holiday, the railway company plans to operate 55 train sets with about 800 carriages, offering 335,000 tickets for passengers traveling the entire route. After more than three months of sales, as of 22/12, the railway company has sold 140,000 tickets, reaching 62% of the total tickets sold during the same period for Tet At Ty 2025.
For the pre-Tet period, from 3/2/2026 to 9/2/2026 (before the 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month) and from 14/2/2026 to 16/2/2026 (the 27th to 29th days of the twelfth lunar month), tickets from the South to Vinh, Thanh Hoa, and Ha Noi stations are still available.
During the peak days from 10/2/2026 to 14/2/2026 (the 23rd to 27th days of the twelfth lunar month), only about 700 tickets remain, primarily soft seats on trains departing from Sai Gon, Di An, and Bien Hoa stations to Vinh and Ha Noi stations. For the during-Tet and post-Tet periods, many tickets are still available for most days and stations.
Most passengers, approximately 67%, purchased tickets through online channels, with the remaining sold directly at station ticket counters.
