The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee recently approved a plan to renovate seven key areas: Ben Thanh Market square, Turtle Lake, Phu Dong Roundabout, and Nguyen Hue, Dong Khoi, Ham Nghi, and Hai Ba Trung streets. The work is expected to be completed before 10/2, funded by socialized capital sponsored by Khang Dien House Investment and Business Joint Stock Company.
This company previously renovated and repainted the buildings along Le Loi street (formerly District 1), contributing to a more presentable appearance for the central city street.

The renovation includes repainting building exteriors, remarking traffic lines, curbing sidewalks, planting additional trees, environmental cleaning, and reorganizing pedestrian spaces. These efforts aim to create a clean, beautiful, and open urban landscape.
Given the historical significance of these areas in Ho Chi Minh City's urban development, the color schemes and designs will be chosen to harmonize with the existing landscape and preserve each location's unique characteristics. The city has directed relevant agencies to coordinate with the sponsoring company to gather public feedback before commencing work.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction, utilizing socialized resources for urban renovation not only enhances aesthetics but also contributes to a refreshed look for the central district before the Lunar New Year.
