After 3h, Luong Hai Sam, 42, from Phuoc Son commune, Dong Nai, was driving a 1,25-ton truck with co-driver Ha Tan Thanh, 28. They were traveling on National Highway 20 from TP HCM towards Da Lat.

Upon reaching Dai Nga Bridge in Bao Lam 2 commune, their truck collided head-on with a 1,4-ton truck. Nguyen Dinh Thien, 37, from B'Lao ward, Lam Dong, was driving the second vehicle, with Nguyen Van Khai, 26, as a passenger.

The collision killed driver Thien and Khai, who were trapped inside the cabin. The two other individuals in the vehicles sustained injuries.

The Lam Dong Provincial Police Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue Force used specialized equipment to extricate the victims from the cabins. They were then transported to Lam Dong Hospital II for emergency treatment.

Both trucks suffered severe front-end damage, with debris scattered across the road. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.

National Highway 20, spanning over 260 km, connects Dau Giay junction in Dong Nai with Don Duong in Lam Dong. This route serves as a vital artery for transporting tourists and agricultural products between TP HCM and Da Lat. It is known for high traffic density and a significant risk of accidents.
