Around 11:30, a 7-seater electric car struck two motorbike riders in front of house number 45, Kham Thien Street, Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Ward.

At the time of the accident, two middle-aged women on a motorbike were stopped behind the car, close to the sidewalk.

According to a witness, when the male car driver reversed, a collision occurred. The driver then accelerated, causing the car to reverse further and drag one woman under the vehicle. The car only stopped after reversing about 15 meters, in front of house number 53 on Kham Thien Street.

Seeing someone trapped under the car, nearly 20 bystanders and passersby lifted the vehicle to help free the trapped person. Although the woman was still moving when rescued, she later died. The other person, found near the rear of the car, was taken to the emergency room.

Police are currently working with the male driver. The identities of the victims have not been released.
