Starting tonight, northeastern Vietnam and Thanh Hoa will experience cooler weather, with some high mountain areas turning cold. Northern Vietnam and Thanh Hoa will see minimum temperatures of 19-22 degrees C during this period, while high mountainous regions will drop to 14-17 degrees C. Hanoi specifically will see localized thunderstorms from the evening of 4/10 until the morning of 5/10.
US-based Accuweather forecasts Hanoi's temperature today to be 22-30 degrees C, dropping to 23-27 degrees C tomorrow. High-altitude areas above 1,500 m, such as Sa Pa in Lao Cai, will have minimum temperatures of 12-17 degrees C.
Furthermore, at sea, in the early morning and morning of 5/10, northeast winds in the Gulf of Tonkin will strengthen to level 6, occasionally reaching level 7, with gusts up to level 8-9; waves will be 2-3 m high. From 5/10, the northern area of the East Sea will experience northeast winds at level 6-7, gusting to level 8-9, with waves 2-4 m high.
From 6/10, the strong wind area will expand across the entire northern East Sea region, including the Hoang Sa special zone.
The meteorological agency predicts that this winter's cold air activity will be weaker than the multi-year average. Severe cold spells are likely to arrive later and last fewer days than typical climate patterns.
