The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2026, themed "Danang - United Horizons," is scheduled to open on the evening of 30/5. The main grandstand will be located on Tran Hung Dao Street in Son Tra ward, while the firing area will be across the Han River at Han River Port, on Bach Dang Street in Hai Chau ward.
A key technical highlight of the DIFF 2026 stage is its massive central lifting dome system. Measuring over 40 m wide and more than 10 m high, this is the largest mechanical structure ever operated on a Da Nang fireworks stage in the festival's 18-year history.
Surrounding the main axis are five auxiliary dome systems capable of independent or synchronized movement. This system operates at speeds under 70 seconds per cycle, allowing for flexible scene changes in real time, adapting to various performance scenarios.
The stage is designed as an "intersection of unification," featuring three spatial levels. Curved lines evoke the shape of bridges, combined with reflective water surfaces, to create a dialogue between traditional and modern elements.
Spanning nearly 1,200 m2, the main performance area, 50 m wide, is designed to accommodate large-scale acts. The total stage width reaches 100 m, extending proportionally to the VIP grandstand area to ensure optimal viewing angles for audiences on both sides.

Beyond the mechanical structure, organizers are incorporating a system of translucent LED screens. This screen layer acts as a "skin of light," displaying digital content while reflecting the actual scenery of the Han River.
Visual effects are enhanced by programmed lifting technology, high-power laser systems, 3D matrix LED, and Retro Amber lights. This combination aims to create "horizons of light," connecting the ground-level performance space with the fireworks displays in the sky.
DIFF 2026 is considered an "All-Star" season, bringing together many highly acclaimed fireworks teams from around the world. After the opening night on 30/5, the festival will continue with themed competition nights every Saturday.
