On 11/3, the Traffic Police Department of Quang Tri Provincial Police issued a fine to a male driver residing in Dong Hoi Ward for illegally stopping his vehicle and obstructing traffic.

Earlier, on the afternoon of 10/3, the driver was operating a seven-seater car on Nguyen Du Street, Dong Hoi Ward. Upon reaching a school gate, the driver suddenly stopped the vehicle in the middle of the road and activated the hazard lights, making it impossible for vehicles behind to move.

Despite being reminded by a passerby, the driver only moved a short distance forward before stopping again. At that time, many cars were parked along the side of the road, and vehicles behind attempted to pass but were not yielded the way. The seven-seater car then reversed and continued to stop in the middle of the road.

The entire incident lasted for about five minutes and was recorded by the dashcam of the vehicle traveling behind.

After verification, the Traffic Police Department summoned the driver for questioning. At the police station, the driver admitted to the violation.

The Traffic Police Department advises vehicle operators against stopping or parking illegally, as this can cause traffic congestion and jeopardize safety.
