Fire at Hanoi cold storage warehouse destroys multiple motorbikes

A cold storage warehouse in a residential area of Khuong Dinh ward erupted in flames, destroying at least six motorbikes and one old truck on the morning of 11/4.

At approximately 6:40 AM, a fire erupted at a single-story, 100 square meter cold storage warehouse with a corrugated iron roof, situated in alley 1, Bui Xuong Trach street, Khuong Dinh ward.

The fire began in the motorbike parking area before quickly spreading throughout almost the entire cold storage facility. The intense blaze produced a column of black smoke dozens of meters high, alarming nearby residents.

Responding to the emergency call, firefighters deployed three fire trucks and numerous personnel from Area 13 and the Trung Van sub-unit to the site.

The fire was brought under control by 7:30 AM. Although there were no human casualties, the blaze destroyed at least six old Honda motorbikes, one old cargo truck, and one cold storage cabinet filled with frozen food.

Authorities stated that the cold storage warehouse, constructed with an iron frame on agricultural land, was designated for demolition as part of the ring road 2.5 project.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
