The three high-altitude locations include: the Saigon River tunnel entrance (An Khanh Ward), the new city center (Binh Duong Ward), and Ba Ria Park square (Ba Ria Ward).
Four low-altitude displays will be set up at: Dam Sen Cultural Park (Binh Thoi Ward), Saigon Marina IFC Tower (Saigon Ward), the Kim Long villa area - Rach Dia Bridge (Nha Be Commune), and the Can Gio coastal urban tourism area - Vinhomes Green Paradise (Can Gio Commune).
The fireworks are scheduled from 9:00 PM to 9:15 PM on 30/3. The Ho Chi Minh City High Command chairs the program, coordinating with the Department of Culture and Sports and related units.
This fireworks activity aligns with Decree 137/2020, which permits Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to organize additional displays on April 30th, beyond major holidays like Lunar New Year and National Day (2/9).
Additionally, the city plans large-scale art performances on the evening of 30/4, from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM, at three areas. The main stage, located on Nguyen Hue Street (at the intersection with Huynh Thuc Khang Street), will be broadcast live on television and radio. The other two locations are the new city center park (Binh Duong Ward) and Ba Ria Park square.
Leading up to these events, from 26/4 to 1/5, various art programs for residents will take place alternately in different wards and communes. The series of events also includes the 50th traditional April 30th cross-country race, along with performances, decorations, and propaganda activities in the central area.
The city will also host commemorative photo exhibitions from 23/4 to 12/5 at several venues, such as the Nguyen Hue - Dong Khoi area (Saigon Ward), Nguyen Du Park (Thu Dau Mot Ward), and the Revolutionary Traditional House (Vung Tau Ward). Wreath-laying ceremonies, incense offerings, and flower tributes to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang will take place on 29/4.
