Hoang Que ward authorities reported that vocational training workshop 1, covering approximately 500 m2 and enclosed by corrugated iron, was engulfed in flames. The structure, built in 2010, was old. The fast-spreading fire then extended to vocational training workshop 2, which spans about 300 m2.

Authorities mobilized civil defense forces and prison staff to relocate assets, working alongside firefighters to extinguish the blaze. Two hours later, the fire was brought under control, with no human casualties reported. Both workshops and much of the machinery inside were destroyed, incurring an estimated damage of 750 million VND.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
