Around 4:30 PM, smoke and flames were seen inside a hall spanning over 900 square meters at the Champa Island Nha Trang resort, located in Tay Nha Trang ward. Resort staff immediately raised the alarm, attempting to put out the fire while alerting emergency services.

About five minutes later, Team 3 of the Khanh Hoa provincial fire prevention, fighting, and rescue police department dispatched two specialized vehicles and dozens of officers to the scene. Firefighters quickly moved from several directions, using high-pressure hoses to combat the flames. The blaze was brought under control in just over ten minutes.

The fire destroyed dozens of chairs within the hall. According to firefighters, the flames originated from the ceiling. Fortunately, the hall was not in operation at the time, and the few individuals present inside managed to evacuate safely.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

The resort's website identifies the affected venue as the Lakshmi ballroom. This hall spans over 990 square meters and has a capacity of one thousand seats for theater-style conferences. Described as the resort's most modern and beautiful event space, it is equipped with advanced sound, lighting, and LED screens, making it suitable for conferences, galas, and musical events.
