General Secretary, President To Lam Inspects Key Capital Projects

On the morning of 10/10, General Secretary, President To Lam inspected a parking lot and green space project between Ring Road one and La Thanh Road, as well as Ring Road 2.5.

General Secretary, President To Lam acknowledged and commended Hanoi, along with relevant units and localities, for their efforts in implementing comprehensive solutions to accelerate the progress of key projects. He urged the city to continue directing units to focus on completing the remaining tasks and finalizing all works according to schedule.

According to him, the completed projects will ensure smooth ring roads, serving the travel needs of residents, and contributing to the synchronization of the capital's transport infrastructure. After completion, project owners must coordinate with local authorities to manage, operate, ensure quality, safety, and operational efficiency, maximizing investment effectiveness. The General Secretary, President also requested strict management of urban planning along both sides of the roads, ensuring order, safety, and maximum priority for traffic. Additionally, he called for appropriate arrangements for parking areas and business zones to serve residents, while preserving a green, clean, and beautiful urban environment and landscape.

Representatives from relevant units reported to General Secretary, President To Lam that Ring Road one has opened to traffic along its entire length, except for two overpasses at the Lang Ha - Giang Vo and Nguyen Chi Thanh intersections. The project is expected to be fully completed in 2026.

The parking lot and green space project between Ring Road one and La Thanh Road covers an area of about 6,800 square meters, with a total investment of over 2,900 billion VND from the city budget. Site clearance has been completed. The city directed the Department of Construction to guide O Cho Dua ward in finalizing the design plan, combining green spaces and landscaping with internal roads, to enable immediate implementation, aiming for completion before 31/12.

Three sections of the Ring Road 2.5 Project are being implemented under urgent orders: the Dich Vong - Duong Dinh Nghe new urban area, Vu Pham Ham - Tran Duy Hung, and Nguy Nhu Kon Tum - Nguyen Trai sections. The Dich Vong - Duong Dinh Nghe new urban area section has completed about 90% of its volume. The remaining two sections are focusing on constructing stormwater and wastewater drainage systems, roadbeds and surfaces, and median strips, with about 70% of the work completed.
