At approximately 22h on 8/10, a fire erupted at a motorcycle shop covering over 300 square meters at 4 Nguyen Khanh Toan street, Nghia Do ward, Hanoi. The fire began small but quickly intensified.
Hundreds of Honda SH motorcycles were inside the shop when the fire broke out.
The shop, which specialized in selling used Honda SH motorcycles, typically housed around 300 bikes. When the fire started, staff managed to move dozens of them outside.
While specific property damage statistics are not yet available, hundreds of motorcycles are estimated to have been destroyed.
Meanwhile, according to authorities, firefighting efforts saved 30 motorcycles and 8 oto, preventing an estimated 10 billion VND in damage.

The fire caused extensive damage as it raged intensely, fueled primarily by gasoline, plastic (from motorcycles), and wooden furniture. The fire, which erupted around 22h, was extinguished by 20h50.
The area is home to numerous shops selling used motorcycles and cars.

Hanoi City Police dispatched 6 fire trucks from regional Firefighting and Rescue Teams 11, 2, and 8, along with over 30 officers and soldiers, to the scene.

The shop's rolling shutter melted from the intense heat, scattering molten debris on the steps.

The shop was devastated after the blaze, with peeling walls and motorcycles reduced to skeletal frames.
The motorcycle shop, spanning approximately 340 square meters, comprised three floors. The first and second floors featured reinforced concrete structures, while the third floor had a steel frame and corrugated iron roof. A 200 square meter front yard was used for repairs, display, and sales. The second floor served as an office, and the third floor functioned as a staff kitchen.

This morning, the scene was sealed off. Authorities are investigating the cause and assessing the damage from the fire.
