The Hanoi Police Department has announced temporary traffic restrictions on multiple key routes from June 3 to June 5 to facilitate the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Congress.
Restrictions will be in effect during specific periods each day: from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, and 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM. During these times, trucks weighing 1.5 tons or more and passenger vehicles with 16 seats or more will be prohibited from circulating. Exceptions include buses, garbage collection vehicles, emergency service vehicles, vehicles with protection insignias, police and military vehicles, and other priority vehicles.
The affected roads include: Kim Ma, Nguyen Chi Thanh, Tran Duy Hung, Pham Hung (the section from Me Tri to Thang Long Boulevard), Do Duc Duc, Mieu Dam, the elevated section of Ring Road 3 (from Ho Tung Mau to Thanh Tri Bridge and vice versa), and the Thang Long Boulevard service road (the section from Pham Hung to the provincial road 70 overpass).

To manage traffic flow during the closures, the Hanoi Police Department has designated several rerouting options. Vehicles traveling from eastern provinces (such as Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, etc.) to northern, western, and northwestern provinces (including Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, etc.) should use the route via Thanh Tri Bridge, the Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway, and national route 18, and vice versa.
For vehicles heading from eastern provinces to western and northwestern provinces (such as Phu Tho, Son La, Dien Bien, etc.), the recommended route is: Thanh Tri Bridge - Do Muoi - Ngoc Hoi - Phan Trong Tue - Cau Buou - Phuc La - Van Khe - Le Trong Tan - national route 6, and vice versa.
Vehicles approaching from Vo Van Kiet Road and Thang Long Bridge, intending to reach Thang Long Boulevard, should follow the route: Pham Van Dong - Ho Tung Mau - Cau Dien - national route 32 - provincial road 70 - Thang Long Boulevard, and vice versa.
The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Congress for the 2026-2031 term is scheduled to be held on June 3-5 at the National Convention Center in My Dinh. The event will host 780 delegates, representing the will, aspirations, and wisdom of nearly 10 million trade union members nationwide.
