Compared to the August 13th announcement, the road closures and restrictions will begin 5 hours earlier, starting at noon on 27/8 and lasting until 2 a.m. on 28/8.
The following streets will be completely closed to vehicles (except for those with security passes or serving the celebration): Hoang Hoa Tham, Thuy Khue (from Hung Vuong to Van Cao), Mai Xuan Thuong, Quan Thanh, Phan Dinh Phung, Hung Vuong, Hoang Van Thu, Doc Lap, Chua Mot Cot, Bac Son, Ton That Dam, Nguyen Canh Chan, Hoang Dieu, Cua Bac, Yen Phu, and Thanh Nien.
The closures also include Dien Bien Phu, Ba Huyen Thanh Quan, Le Hong Phong, Ong Ich Khiem, Ngoc Ha, Nguyen Tri Phuong, Chu Van An, Ton Duc Thang, Cat Linh, Trinh Hoai Duc, Hang Chao, Tran Phu, Son Tay, Kim Ma, Lieu Giai, Van Cao, Nghi Tam, Doi Can, Doc La-Pho, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Le Duan, Tran Nhan Tong (from Le Duan to Quang Trung), Trang Thi, Hang Khay, Trang Tien, Co Tan, and Phan Chu Trinh (from Hai Ba Trung to Trang Tien).
Additionally, Le Thanh Tong, Tong Dan (from Ly Dao Thanh to Trang Tien), Tran Quang Khai, Tran Khanh Du, Quang Trung (from Ly Thuong Kiet to Trang Thi), Ly Thai To, Nguyen Huu Huan, Ngo Quyen (from the State Bank Square to Trang Tien), Giang Vo, Lang Ha, and Lang (from Lang Ha to Tran Duy Hung) will be closed.

From noon on 27/8 to 2 a.m. on 28/8, Hanoi police will also restrict vehicles inside the first ring road, except for those with security passes, vehicles serving the celebration, authorized vehicles, official vehicles, buses, garbage trucks, and emergency vehicles.
Trucks with a gross vehicle weight rating of 1.5 tons or more and passenger vehicles with 16 seats or more will be temporarily restricted on roads between the first and second ring roads. These restrictions will be in effect when the A80 convoy passes, after which normal traffic will resume.
Hanoi police recommend that commercial passenger vehicles with fewer than 16 seats, private cars, and motorbikes limit travel on roads between the second and third ring roads. Vehicles are also advised to limit travel between the first and second ring roads.
Traffic will be restricted on several roads from the third ring road outwards, including National Highway 32, Cau Dien, Ho Tung Mau, Le Duc Tho, Le Quang Dao, Thang Long Boulevard, Lang Van Hoa Road, National Highway 21A, Ho Chi Minh Road, National Highway 6, Quang Trung, Tran Phu, Nguyen Trai, Provincial Road 419, Provincial Road 429, and Vo Nguyen Giap. Exemptions include buses, garbage trucks, emergency vehicles, vehicles with security passes, and vehicles serving the celebration.
Detour routes
During the road closures and restrictions, Hanoi police have established detours for restricted vehicles. Vehicles from National Highway 5, the Hanoi-Bac Giang Expressway, and the Hanoi-Hai Phong Expressway heading towards the Cau Gie-Ninh Binh Expressway should travel via Thanh Tri Bridge - Ring Road 3 Elevated Section - Do Muoi Intersection - Cau Gie-Ninh Binh Expressway.
Vehicles from eastern provinces (Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, etc.) traveling to northern, western, and northwestern provinces (Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, etc.) should take the Phu Dong Bridge - Thanh Tri Bridge - Ring Road 3 Elevated Section - Thang Long Bridge - Vo Van Kiet route. Alternatively, they can travel from National Highway 5 - Nguyen Duc Thuan - Thanh Tri Bridge ramp - Phu Dong Bridge - Hanoi-Bac Giang Expressway - Hanoi-Thai Nguyen Expressway to Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang provinces, and vice versa.
Vehicles from northern provinces (Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, etc.) traveling to southern provinces (Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, etc.) should use the National Highway 2 - Vo Van Kiet - Thang Long Bridge - Ring Road 3 Elevated Section - Do Muoi Intersection - Cau Gie-Ninh Binh Expressway route.
Trucks with a gross vehicle weight rating of 10 tons or more traveling on the Ring Road 3 Elevated Section are advised to avoid exiting at intersections along Pham Van Dong, Pham Hung, Khuat Duy Tien, and Nguyen Xien streets.

Hanoi police encourage people traveling from other provinces to Hanoi for the celebration to use passenger vehicles, public transportation, especially the elevated railway; and to walk in certain areas of Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, Cua Nam, Hai Ba Trung, Giang Vo, Ngoc Ha wards, and around Ba Dinh Square.
On 2/9, Vietnam will hold a grand celebration and parade in Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (A80). The parade will involve a full contingent of forces, including ground troops, motorized units, air force, and navy. Nearly 16,000 people will participate in the parade, comprising 43 marching blocks, 18 stationary blocks, and 14 blocks of military and special forces vehicles and artillery.
