The Hanoi Department of Home Affairs reported that nearly 3,200 businesses in the area have submitted their Tet bonus plans. The average lunar new year (Tet) bonus reached 3,92 million dong per person, with the highest at 614 million dong and the lowest at 0,8 million dong. Compared to the At Ty Tet, this year's highest bonus increased from 311 million dong to 614 million dong.
By sector, foreign-invested enterprises recorded the highest average bonus at 4,5 million dong per person. This was followed by the private sector with 4 million dong; joint-stock companies with state capital dominance at 3,7 million dong; and 100% state-owned enterprises at 3,5 million dong per person. Compared to last year, average bonuses increased by approximately 0,2-0,4 million dong, depending on the sector.
In 2025, the highest salary recorded in the private sector was 230 million dong per month, followed by foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises at 225 million dong. State-owned enterprises and joint-stock companies with state capital dominance reached 46,5 million and 45 million dong respectively. At the lower end of the salary scale, employee income across sectors ranged from 5,5 to 6,6 million dong per month.

According to Article 104 of the Labor Code, a bonus is money, assets, or other forms decided by the employer based on business performance and the employee's work completion level. The bonus regulations must be publicly announced by the enterprise at the workplace after consulting with the grassroots-level employee representative organization.
