Influenced by a low-pressure trough, rain continued overnight and this morning in the southern Northern Delta. Rainfall from 7 p.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. today reached 83 mm in Dong Long (Hung Yen) and 145 mm in Ninh Binh.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts 10-30 mm of rain today in the delta and coastal areas of northern Vietnam, with localized rainfall exceeding 80 mm.
Hanoi, the site of the 80th anniversary celebrations of the August Revolution and National Day, is forecast to experience showers and thunderstorms between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. today, with a 60-70% chance of rain. Between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., intermittent rain is expected, decreasing to a 55-60% probability. From 7 p.m. today to 7 a.m. on September 2nd, there's a 60-70% chance of rain.

Between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. on September 2nd, coinciding with the parade, rain is possible in the early hours, followed by sunshine and light winds. Between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., intermittent sunshine is expected.
Accuweather predicts that the rain in Hanoi will stop by 3 p.m. today. Starting at 6 a.m. on September 2nd, it will be mostly cloudy with occasional sunshine, and the chance of rain will decrease to below 20%. Temperatures in the capital are expected to remain between 25 and 32 degrees Celsius over the next two days.
On September 2nd, Vietnam will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day with a ceremony and parade in Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi. The parade will include over 16,000 participants in 43 marching blocks, 18 stationary blocks, and 14 blocks of military vehicles, representing the army and police forces, including ground, mechanized, air, and naval units.
